Missed Lessons

Life can be hectic, and sometimes things happen! If you feel you or your child will not be able to attend a lesson, please do your best to keep me informed so I can plan accordingly. Below is my policy on missed lessons:

Lessons missed without notice will be charged, however I am happy to schedule a make-up lesson to be sure you’re not missing out. I require at least 6 hours notice for any missed lessons.

If I need to cancel, due to illness or other circumstances, I will arrange for a make-up lesson, or offer a credit for future lessons if rescheduling is not possible.

Quitting Mid-Year:

If a student decides to quit lessons mid-year and lessons have been paid for in advance, the remaining amount will be refunded. Two weeks notice before quitting is preferred, but not required.

Payment

I follow the public school system (SD61) as much as possible. My teaching dates are as follows:

Term 1: September 10th to December 18th (11 weeks)

Term 2: January 6th to March 12th (10 weeks)

Term 3: March 31st to June 25th (13 weeks)

I accept post-dated cheques or e-transfer. Payment can be made by term or for the whole year.

Payment is required within two weeks of lessons beginning. If it is not received after that time, I will issue a first reminder.

A second reminder will be issued if payment is not received after four weeks.

If payment has still not been made by six weeks, lessons will unfortunately be discontinued until further notice.
